{"id":982,"date":"2006-06-25T19:24:00","date_gmt":"2006-06-25T23:24:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.calgarygrit.ca\/?p=982"},"modified":"2006-06-25T19:24:00","modified_gmt":"2006-06-25T23:24:00","slug":"draft-orchard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.calgarygrit.ca\/?p=982","title":{"rendered":"Draft Orchard"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/8128\/397\/1600\/orchard.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/8128\/397\/320\/orchard.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>I don&#8217;t want people to think that I&#8217;m <a href=\"http:\/\/calgarygrit.blogspot.com\/2006\/06\/24.html\">obsessed <\/a>with David Orchard or anything but:<br \/>a) there&#8217;s a lot of talk about the guy in Alberta<br \/>b) his continued presence in the Liberal Party kind of bugs me<\/p>\n<p>Anyways, I was at the &#8220;Three Amigos&#8221; BBQ, listening to the music stylings of Misters <a href=\"http:\/\/www.albertaliberal.com\/index.php\/candidates\/index\/calgary_varsity\/\">Chase<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.albertaliberal.com\/index.php\/candidates\/index\/calgary_mountainview\/\">Swann <\/a>and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.albertaliberal.com\/index.php\/candidates\/index\/calgary_currie\/\">Taylor <\/a>on Saturday and this lady who is apparently friends with David Orchard was giving the hard sales pitch to everyone there to join the federal Liberals and support David. I feigned interest (&#8220;<em>stupid Yanks<\/em>&#8220;, &#8220;<em>bloody Peter MacKay<\/em>&#8220;&#8230;) and chatted with her a bit while she gave me the anti-American, anti-NAFTA sales pitch. She also gave me the paper above with a phone number to call, so it appears Mr. Orchard is still gauging support.
