Despite this whole sponsorship mess!<br \/>They HADN&#8217;T stopped Dithers from winning,<br \/>HE LED!<br \/>Despite income trusts, he was back from the dead!<\/p>\n<p>And then Harper, with his grinch-frown ice-cold in the snow,<br \/>Stood puzzling and puzzling: &#8220;How could it be so?<br \/>We&#8217;re down despite tax cuts! Big daycare checks!<br \/>Despite great photo ops and stylish turtle necks!&#8221;<br \/>He&#8217;d promised them change, to slice the GST.<br \/>But then Harper began to finally see<br \/>&#8220;Maybe Voters,&#8221; he thought, &#8220;don&#8217;t care about policy,<br \/>Maybes voters, perhaps, simply just don&#8217;t like me!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>And what about Paulie?<br \/>Well, the PMO say<br \/>That Scott Reid&#8217;s big ego<br \/>Grew three sizes that day!<br \/>In a move that could cripple this blowhard&#8217;s career,<br \/>He started to muse about popcorn and beer.<br \/>So it&#8217;s the gaffe prone Board, versus Harper the scary<\/p>\n<p>So <em>who<\/em>?<\/p>\n<p>WHO INDEED?<\/p>\n<p>Which of these Grinches, will win in January?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With Christmas fast approaching, here&#8217;s a Christmas rhyme &#8211; apologies to Dr. Seuss.
