{"id":621,"date":"2005-12-14T19:24:00","date_gmt":"2005-12-15T00:24:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.calgarygrit.ca\/?p=621"},"modified":"2005-12-14T19:24:00","modified_gmt":"2005-12-15T00:24:00","slug":"change-of-ads-is-good","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.calgarygrit.ca\/?p=621","title":{"rendered":"Change (of Ads) is Good"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Finally, after a series of awful ads most high school drama teachers would fail, the Tories have come out with their first winner: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.conservative.ca\/EN\/our_tv_ads\/#\">change<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s got a simple message that appears to be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ctv.ca\/\/servlet\/ArticleNews\/story\/CTVNews\/20051213\/elxn_poll_051213\/20051214?s_name=election2006&#038;no_ads=\">resonating<\/a>. The music works well. It&#8217;s a negative ad, yet it feels positive. It shows the Globe &amp; Mail &#8220;Martin Liberals Took Illicit Cash&#8221; headline, which is smart for several reasons. It&#8217;s got more Paul than Steve in it, which is <em>very<\/em> interesting, and likely very wise.<\/p>\n<p>So, after twelve failed ads (you can watch them all on their site if you&#8217;re a masochist), the Tories finally have a winner.
