The PEI headlines scream about\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.pe.ca\/News\/Local\/2012-06-07\/article-3002421\/UPDATE%3A-Satisfaction-with-Ghiz-Liberals-plunges\/1\">&#8220;plunging&#8221; satisfaction with the Ghiz government<\/a>, but the Liberals still lead 20 points &#8211; I think most Premiers would be happy if their numbers plunged to those depths. In Newfoundland, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/newfoundland-labrador\/story\/2012\/06\/07\/nl-cra-poll-607.html\">the PCs still lead by 16 points<\/a>, but that&#8217;s a far cry from the old days when Danny Williams routinely polled <em>over<\/em> 100%.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Quebec<\/strong>: Expect protests on the streets of Montreal to continue through the summer, as negotiations between embittered students and the Quebec government have <a href=\"http:\/\/news.nationalpost.com\/2012\/06\/01\/jean-charest-calls-on-quebecs-silent-majority-to-express-itself-as-tuition-talks-fail\/\">broken off<\/a>. Far be it from me to tell Jean Charest what to do, since the man has repeatedly proven himself to be a modern day Lazarus, but if I were him I&#8217;d roll the dice and call an election on this issue. Even if the public is mixed on his handling of the protests, it&#8217;s a chance for him to look strong and make the election about an issue he could <em>potentially<\/em> win on.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saskatchewan<\/strong>: Nothing to see here &#8211; everyone <a href=\"http:\/\/www.angus-reid.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/2012.06.07_Premiers_CAN.pdf\">still loves<\/a> Brad .<\/p>\n<p><strong>British Columbia:<\/strong> At the other end of\u00a0the &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.angus-reid.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/2012.06.07_Premiers_CAN.pdf\">most popular Premiers<\/a>&#8221; poll is Christy Clark, who has taken to <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.canoe.ca\/davidakin\/politics\/lousy-poll-numbers-prompts-b-c-premier-to-slag-pollster\/\">explictly criticizing Angus Reid<\/a>. Perhaps the situation isn&#8217;t as dire as the polls suggest, but it&#8217;s been over a year since <em>any<\/em> pollster showed Clark ahead and four different companies confirm double-digit leads for the NDP.
