That&#8217;s just the end result. The real excitement in an <a href=\"http:\/\/calgarygrit.blogspot.com\/2011\/03\/election-2011-primer.html\">election<\/a> is the <em>journey <\/em>&#8211; the campaign itself. With that in mind, I present the third (almost) annual Calgary Grit Potpourri election pool. Twenty questions to determine just how well you can predict the upcoming campaign.<\/p>\n<p>While there is no prize for the winner, this is your chance to be immortalized forever and ever alongside previous winners <a href=\"http:\/\/calgarygrit.blogspot.com\/2006\/01\/pool-results.html\">Saskatchewan Grit<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/calgarygrit.blogspot.com\/2008\/10\/results-are-in.html\">HoserToHoosier<\/a>. Simply reply to this post with your predictions or e-mail them in to <a href=\"mailto:calgarygrit@gmail.com\">calgarygrit@gmail.com<\/a>. Will the Conservatives sweep Alberta?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Will Julian Fantino be re-elected?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Thomas Mulcair or Martin Cauchon in Outremont?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Which polling company&#8217;s publicly released final numbers will be closest to the actual results?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>6. Over\/under on the highest level of support the Conservatives will hit in a national election poll &#8211; 42% <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>7. Will the Liberals ever lead in a national election poll?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>8. Which party will run the most vicious attack ad? <\/strong>(<em>as judged by yours truly<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>9. Which party will run the &#8220;best&#8221; ad?<\/strong> (<em>as voted on by Calgary Grit readers<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>10. Will the words &#8220;abortion&#8221;, &#8220;women&#8217;s right to choose&#8221;, or some variant, be used in a TV commercial this campaign?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>11. Will any Harper Cabinet Ministers appear in an english-language commercial this campaign?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>12. Will Harper&#8217;s sweater vest make an appearance in a Conservative ad?<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><strong>13. Conservative vote over\/under in <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Crowfoot_(electoral_district)\">Crowfoot<\/a> &#8211; 80%<\/strong> (<em>82% the last 2 elections<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>14. Voter turn out over\/under &#8211; 60%<\/strong> (<em>59% last election<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>15. How many seats will the Conservatives win in Newfoundland?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>16. Number of independent candidates elected?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>17. The Bloc. Will they win more or less seats than last election?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>18.
