There&#8217;s not much I can say about those that hasn&#8217;t already been said. Suffice to say it&#8217;s likely a good thing we&#8217;re not in an election campaign right now.<\/p>\n<p>No, today&#8217;s polling update comes from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.edmontonjournal.com\/technology\/Wildrose+Alliance+vies+second+place+Alberta+poll\/2079239\/story.html\">Alberta<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Progressive Conservative: 38.4%<br \/>Wildrose Alliance: 21.5%<br \/>Alberta Liberal: 20.5%<br \/>NDP: 10.7%<br \/>Other: 8.5%<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s certainly some <a href=\"http:\/\/calgarygrit.blogspot.com\/2009\/09\/alberta-politics-just-got-interesting.html\">Wildrose momentum<\/a> there. But until they actually <a href=\"http:\/\/calgarygrit.blogspot.com\/2009\/09\/wild-run-for-wild-rose.html\">pick a leader<\/a> and let people know a bit about their party, it&#8217;s a fairly futile task to ask voters who they&#8217;d vote for. For all intents and purposes, that 21.5% is just a &#8220;Stelmach sucks&#8221; vote at this point, and nothing more.<\/p>\n<p>Basically, Alberta is in Buffalo Springfield territory now: <em>There&#8217;s something happening here, What it is ain&#8217;t exactly clear<\/em>. Come back to me in January <em>after<\/em> Albertans meet the new Wildrose leader, after Stelmach&#8217;s leadership review, after all this floor crossing gossip either materializes or fizzles.
