{"id":2237,"date":"2009-04-23T18:36:00","date_gmt":"2009-04-23T22:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.calgarygrit.ca\/?p=2237"},"modified":"2009-04-23T18:36:00","modified_gmt":"2009-04-23T22:36:00","slug":"taxe-sur-toutes-les-choses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.calgarygrit.ca\/?p=2237","title":{"rendered":"Taxe sur toutes les choses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ctv.ca\/servlet\/ArticleNews\/story\/CTVNews\/20090423\/ignatieff_poll_090423\/20090423?hub=Politics\">shocking new poll out today<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-family:arial;\">The Canadian Press Harris-<span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_0\">Decima<\/span> survey indicates that 30 per cent of respondents nationwide are less likely to vote Liberal in the next election as a result of the party leader&#8217;s reflections on taxes last week; only 16 per cent are more likely to support the Grits.<\/p>\n<p>The damage was most pronounced in Atlantic Canada and British Columbia, where 44 per cent and 40 per cent respectively were less likely to vote Liberal.<\/p>\n<p>However, the poll suggests <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_1\">Ignatieff&#8217;s<\/span> tax talk went down well in Quebec, where 29 per cent of respondents were more likely to vote Liberal and only 10 per cent less likely.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yes, who would have thought when you asked people if <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_2\">Ignatieff<\/span> raising their taxes would make them more likely to vote for Liberal, they&#8217;d say &#8220;uhh&#8230;duh&#8230;no&#8221;.Well, except in Quebec where by a 3 to 1 ratio they said it made them <em>more<\/em> likely to vote for <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_3\">Ignatieff<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s only one conclusion to be reached from this: it is imperative that the Liberal Party promise to tax <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_4\">Quebecers<\/span> in the next election.
