So here&#8217;s a run down of some of the things you (and I) may have missed:<\/p>\n<p>1. To recap, the membership cut-off November 7<span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_0\">th<\/span>, with the mail-in vote to be announced December 13<span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_1\">th<\/span>. The three candidates are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tayloralberta.ca\/\">Dave Taylor<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.electdavidswann.ca\/Home\/tabid\/36\/Default.aspx\">David <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_2\">Swann<\/span><\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/elsalhy.com\/drupal\/\">Mo <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_3\">Elsalhy<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>2. <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_4\">Daveberta<\/span> takes a look at the <a href=\"http:\/\/daveberta.blogspot.com\/2008\/08\/examining-past-while-looking-to-future.html\">history of ALP leadership races<\/a>. My guess is that the winner will wind up with about 2,500 votes this time &#8211; on the first ballot, that is. I&#8217;m not expecting anyone to win this thing outright.<\/p>\n<p>3. Speaking of Alberta&#8217;s pre-eminent blogger, <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_5\">Daveberta<\/span> has endorsed <a href=\"http:\/\/daveberta.blogspot.com\/2008\/10\/why-i-am-supporting-david-swann.html\">David <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_6\">Swann<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>4. To the best of my knowledge, Kent <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_7\">Hehr<\/span> (Taylor) and Harry Chase (<span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_8\">Swann<\/span>) are the only two <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_9\">MLAs<\/span> to have endorsed a candidate in this race.<\/p>\n<p>5. Dave Taylor released his very good <a href=\"http:\/\/calgarygrit.blogspot.com\/2008\/10\/other-liberal-leadership-race.html\">party renewal document<\/a> a few weeks back.<\/p>\n<p>6. Slogans: Mo &#8211; &#8220;<em>An Alberta for ALL Albertans<\/em>&#8220;, <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_10\">Swann<\/span> &#8211; &#8220;<em>The Courage to Lead.
