Not happy with someone else in the Liberal Party? Wanna float your buddy&#8217;s name for leadership? Sure, you <em>could<\/em> speak out. But why do that when you can be <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.macleans.ca\/2008\/10\/16\/because-really-who-wouldnt-want-to-lead-this-army-of-bravehearts\/\">an anonymous Liberal<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>I know what you\u2019re thinking. \u201c<em>But if I spew my anonymous rants on a blog or a gossip magazine no one will listen. No credible news source would ever publish them<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s probably true. So just call up one of Canada\u2019s major newspapers with your hot tip (\u201c<em>Fred Mifflin is considering a leadership run<\/em>\u201d, \u201c<em>Mario Dumont is organizing<\/em>!\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>But how should you identify yourself? Not by your name or title, silly. Here\u2019s a handy guide:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Influential Liberal<\/strong>: You know a former Cabinet Minister. Or you once met a Cabinet Minister. Or you once saw a Cabinet Minister at a convention.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Senior Party Member<\/strong>: You\u2019re over 30.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Liberal Insider<\/strong>: You were a poll captain on your local Liberal campaign.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A well connected Liberal<\/strong>: You\u2019re friends with Warren Kinsella on facebook.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Veteran Liberal<\/strong>: You\u2019ve been bitching about the party\u2019s leader since Turner.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A Liberal source<\/strong>: While you may not have voted Liberal this time, you have in the past.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Liberal Strategist:<\/strong> You&#8217;ve criticized the party&#8217;s strategy over beers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you have a grievance?
