So Luc<\/span><\/span> Lavoie<\/span><\/span> is out and NDP<\/span><\/span> spinster Robin Sears is in <\/a>as Mulroney’s spokesman. Not a good sign given how long Lavoie has<\/span><\/span> been spinning for his old friend…<\/p>\n

You’ve got to wonder if this has something to do with Lavoie’s<\/span> comments on the fifth estate special <\/a>from February ’06:<\/p>\n

“There never was any money. He’s too smart to do something like that. It’s just too dummy. It’s too damn stupid. <\/em><\/p>\n

He said it himself under oath. So it would be major perjury, right? A former PM of a country like Canada doesn’t go under oath to say something like this. You don’t lie about this stuff. To think otherwise is pretty insulting.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Yup. Hard to disagree.<\/p>\n

In other news<\/em><\/strong>, poor Jean Charest has now been pulled into this mess <\/a>and the “name that scandal<\/a>” contest has four finalists:<\/p>\n

While I do love the way “Schreiberbriber<\/span>” rolls off the tongue, I’m partial towards Airbucks<\/span> myself.<\/p>\n
