The full updated list can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/daveberta.blogspot.com\/2007\/06\/les-candidates-provincial.html\">here<\/a>, but I present a few highlights since I don&#8217;t feel like blogging about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.macleans.ca\/article.jsp?content=20071129_191900_7916\">Brian Mulroney <\/a>today:<\/p>\n<p>-In the south side of Calgary, a trio of candidates were nominated this week for the Alberta Liberals. Former journalist and, most importantly, <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_1\">calgarygrit<\/span> reader, <a href=\"http:\/\/laurashutiak.com\/\">Laura <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_2\">Shutiak<\/span> <\/a>will be carrying the torch in Calgary Fish Creek. A good friend of mine, local lawyer John <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_3\">Roggeveen<\/span>, will be going again in Calgary Shaw; John has a lot of good ideas about how to improve Alberta-Idaho relations so he should be a formidable foe for <a href=\"http:\/\/calgarygrit.blogspot.com\/2007\/09\/mr-potatoe-head.html\">Cindy <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_4\">Ady<\/span><\/a>. Lori <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_5\">Czerwinski<\/span> will be going against <a href=\"http:\/\/www.daverodney.ca\/\">Dave Rodney <\/a>in Calgary <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_6\">Lougheed<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>-In Edmonton, the PCs have nominated <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nbhardwaj.com\/\"><span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_7\">Naresh<\/span> <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_8\">Bardwaj<\/span><\/a>, Carl Benito, and a pair of federal Liberals, Andrew <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_9\">Beniuk<\/span> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.electraj.ca\/\">Raj Sherman<\/a>. The ALP will put up former Catholic School Board Chair <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canada.com\/edmontonjournal\/news\/cityplus_alberta\/story.html?id=fc1ff360-fc67-4b6b-9a8d-e055ca26173c\">Debbie <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_10\">Cavaliere<\/span><\/a> against Dr. Sherman in what should be a very competitive race.<\/p>\n<p>-Back in Calgary, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lindsay4mla.com\/\">Lindsay <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_11\">Blackett<\/span><\/a> will go for the Tories in Calgary North West. <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_12\">btw<\/span>, Lindsay is a guy.<\/p>\n<p>-Meanwhile, in Calgary <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_13\">Egmont<\/span>, Craig Chandler ally and riding President David <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_14\">Crutcher<\/span> has been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/canada\/calgary\/story\/2007\/11\/30\/crutcher-turfed.html\">impeached out of the presidency<\/a>.
