During that time, there have been 30 provincial government changes across Canada. There was no big victory speech last night, but it would probably go something like:<\/p>\n<p><em>I&#8217;d like to thank the Alberta Liberal Party, Lawrence <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_1\">Decore<\/span> for musing about abortion in &#8217;93, the <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_2\">NEP<\/span>, the <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_3\">NDP<\/span>, PET, the <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_4\">ontinuously<\/span> divided right wing, Ralph Klein, Peter <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_5\">Lougheed<\/span>, and, of course, God, for <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_6\">puting<\/span> the oil in the ground.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>How many more days they last in power will probably depend on how they handle <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ctv.ca\/servlet\/ArticleNews\/story\/CTVNews\/20070918\/alberta_oil_070918\/20070918?hub=Canada\">this<\/a>. <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_7\">Oilsands<\/span> royalties could very well be the top issue of the next election campaign.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday, the Progressive Conservatives broke the Social Credit government record, celebrating their 13,157th consecutive day in power.
