Not too surprisingly, Stephen Harper declined to participate (&#8220;<em>my stylist never picks out make-up which has been tested on animals<\/em>&#8220;).<\/p>\n<p>While Jack Layton and <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_0\">Stephane<\/span> Dion certainly appear to be living environmentally friendly lives, Elizabeth May is in an ecosystem of her own. Consider the following:<\/p>\n<p>-She doesn&#8217;t own a car or a bicycle&#8230;she tricycles<br \/>-She owned a pony as a child  [not relevant, but I keep thinking of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=4Rv6bAFrvJg\">this<\/a>]<br \/>-Her household does not flush the toilet &#8220;unless <span class=\"blsp-spelling-corrected\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_2\">necessary<\/span>&#8220;<br \/>-toilet paper is the only paper product she buys<br \/>-She buys second-hand clothes<br \/>-Her daughter &#8220;rejected the offer of a new TV for Christmas because, even though ours was broken, she insisted we try to get it fixed to avoid an unwanted landfill item.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of May, Jane Taber may have set a record for most anonymous Liberal sources ever used in an article, in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/servlet\/story\/RTGAM.20070423.wxliberals23\/BNStory\/National\/home\">today&#8217;s piece<\/a> criticizing the Dion-May pact.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In today&#8217;s paper, the Edmonton Sun published the answers from party leaders to 20 questions about how environmentally friendly they live.
