I browsed through some of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.americanrhetoric.com\/top100speechesall.html\">top 100 <\/a>over the weekend and they certainly have all the classics. And, hey, if Kennedy and King aren&#8217;t for you, you can find everyone from John Kerry to Pat Buchanan on the general database (perfect for downloading to your <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_1\"><span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_0\">Ipod<\/span><\/span> for the gym!).<\/p>\n<p>They also link to <a href=\"http:\/\/pm.gc.ca\/default.asp?Language=E&#038;Page=newsroom&amp;Sub=Speeches\">this site<\/a> under <a href=\"http:\/\/pm.gc.ca\/default.asp?Language=E&#038;Page=newsroom&amp;Sub=Speeches\">Prime Minister of Canada speeches [recent]<\/a>. Oh, and under <a href=\"http:\/\/collections.ic.gc.ca\/\">Prime Ministers of Canada speeches [previous], <\/a>they link to <a href=\"http:\/\/collections.ic.gc.ca\/E\/View.html\">this site<\/a>, which contains <a href=\"http:\/\/collections.ic.gc.ca\/E\/view.html\">this announcement<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-family:arial;\">The content of Canada\u2019s Digital Collections (CDC) is no longer available on this website.<\/span> <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I know in the eyes of some, Canadian history only began January 23rd, 2006, but it would still be nice to listen to some of the great Canadian speeches from years gone by. Think of Pierre Trudeau&#8217;s address at the 38 <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_1\">BH<\/span> Liberal leadership convention or his &#8220;<span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_2\">mon<\/span> <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_3\">nom<\/span>&#8221; speech during the 26 <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_4\">BH<\/span> referendum. And who can forget the memorable Turner-Mulroney debate during the 22 <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_6\">BH<\/span> election? Or some of the rousing speeches John Diefenbaker gave during the 49 BH election.
