To get things rolling, here&#8217;s a look at a recent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sesresearch.com\/library\/polls\/POLNAT-W07-T217.pdf\">SES poll<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Most Trustworthy Leader<\/strong><br \/>Harper  35% (+14)<br \/>Dion  20% (Martin &#8211; 18%)<br \/>Duceppe  8% (-3)<br \/>Layton  18% (-7)<br \/>May  8% (Harris &#8211; 3%)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Most Competent Leader<\/strong><br \/>Harper  41% (+17)<br \/>Dion  22% (Martin &#8211; 28%)<br \/>Duceppe  8% (No change)<br \/>Layton  13% (-4)<br \/>May  4% (Harris &#8211; 2%)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Best Vision for Canada<\/strong><br \/>Harper  39% (+14)<br \/>Dion  21% (Martin &#8211; 25%)<br \/>Duceppe  5% (-1)<br \/>Layton  16% (-2)<br \/>May  7% (Harris &#8211; 3%)<\/p>\n<p>The only one that really surprises me is the Harper numbers on &#8220;best vision for Canada&#8221;. Everything else is predictable: Dion&#8217;s low in most categories because he&#8217;s new, Steve has the Prime Ministerial advantage, and the NDP scores well on vision and trust but low on competence.<\/p>\n<p>But Canadians liking the Harper vision?
