Since I have a strict “never blog drunk” policy, a few quick thoughts on Paul’s tribute before I hit the hospitality suites:<\/p>\n
1. Mark Tweksbury was an…interesting choice to be master of ceremonies. I kind of get the feeling he had a dozen bowls of Coco Puffs before taking the stage though.<\/p>\n
2. Would have liked to see the Warren Kinsella video message…<\/p>\n
3. There was a 5 minute stretch of Martin’s speech which was pretty much word for word from his 2006 campaign stump speech.<\/p>\n
4. Man, there were a lot of standing ovations to give.<\/p>\n
5. Maybe it’s just because he’s been gone for so long but the videos made Paul seem like a pretty nice guy.<\/p>\n
6. That said, he certainly accomplished more in Finance than as PM.<\/p>\n
7. Glad to see Paul mention JC’s name a few times.<\/p>\n
